About this project
THE PROBLEM
Eukleia is a specialist Governance Risk Management and Compliance (GRC) training consultancy that sells compliance training programmes aimed at the financial market. Clients include leading banks and some of the biggest well known financial institutions across the world. However within it's first couple of years of trading the company recognised they were loosing a lot of business to companies that didn't have there own LMS provisions. Eukleia recognised that their clients wanted the ease of acquiring required online training packages and an LMS to host this content on from one supplier rather then seeking these services separately.
Eukleia decided to rise to this challenge by offering it's own LMS system that clients could use to host and track online training courses purchased with them and becoming a one stop shop. This is when they called upon my services to come in and achieve challenge for them.
THE SOLUTION
I implemented an open-source LMS system which they now resell to their global clients. The model I created was to invest a substantial amount of capital into the system to bring it up to the required specification so it would meet the functional needs of our clients. The product charged to clients was not for the LMS itself as it was an open source system, instead clients were being charged for; 1) custom development we had invested into the system, 2) hosting services, 3) course and user administration, and finally 4) technical support.
Eukelia ended up with a LMS (multi-tenancy site) offering it soldl to clients with administration and support services.
THE RESULT

At the time of leaving, the LMS solution had been sold to just over 400 clients spread across 100K users generating revenue in excess of approximately £925K providing another revenue stream which also gave them a generous profit margin.
